The way to make me cry? two words - David Archuleta (this song is perfection)

The stress of life, of everything, finally hit me. I just sat here bawling for 10 minutes. I have issues.

AMERICAN IDOL TOUR REVIEW

10
Jul

OK, so I had to do a review for a few sites and rather then post a new one for each I just made a detailed one that will have to work for all cause at this point Im done lol. It’s very long so you have been warned. Enjoy!

To try and put into words everything that took place yesterday would be like trying to explain colour to someone who is colour blind. There are just not enough or no words that can completely express the overall idea of what exactly took place. Truth be told. It hasn’t even sunk in for me. I was having a HORRIBLE day, everything that could go wrong, was going wrong. I had so much to do and get done. I had to focus on for other things for other people that I have yet to let it all just marinate. At this point in time I am completely numb to everything, and that fact that I met David Archuleta twice in one day; I can’t wrap my mind around it. Nothing will suffice.

It was a very long day. I had plans to help out fanblast and do a report (and be a cell caster) for both Rickey.org and Archuletafans.com. I was running late as I mentioned everything that could go wrong, did. I forgot to print out my letters for the David’s. I was stuck in traffic. I left my wallet at home so I had no money or Drivers License (yikes) I had no food and very little water. It was hot, very hot. I though I was going to pass out at some point, not to mention I was nauseated the WHOLE NIGHT, and that’s just the tip of the ice burg. Anyway, aside from the complaints I got there around 11:30 am only to be greeted by a HUGE group of people already there. I knew it would be a larger group but I didn’t expect that by any means. People were a bit frustrated and understandably so. It was a pretty awesome group of people though, lots of “Archie” fans. It was nice to see so many supportive people. Nonetheless, I had fanblast stuff to do so I really couldn’t stick around long enough. We finally got the fanblast stuff going (all of you who did it, did a WONDERFUL job, thank you for helping out) after that we got word the busses were coming so we made sure to all take our spots by the coveted gate. To add insult to injury (continuing my bad day) the strap on my shoe (flip flop) broke. So I only had one shoe on and one foot on the burning sidewalk lol. So I had to run and hope I found some shade amongst the people in front, I did, but unfortunately for those of us it was a mad house. We were pushed and shoved up against the gate (my arm was stuck in-between the bars), it felt like 150 degrees and people were screaming lol. It was fun, but painful in the process. I realized I had nothing for them to sign so I just decided to have them sign the hat I was wearing (I was hoping I could trade that hat with David Cook, guess that wont be happening now lol)

Ramiele came out first but went to the other side of the gate then Brooke followed but she came to our side. She was very sweet. I didn’t get to talk to her but she was signing everyone’s stuff (guitars too) and she’s just cute and silly. Then up walked Carly and she was hilarious! She couldn’t see people in the back so she climbed the gate and said hi to everyone sticking her head through the bars haha. She’s totally stunning in person, beautiful as can be. Ramiele finally came to our side at this point. She signed my hat lol I was happy about that. I able to speak a bit to her, she’s very talkative, personable. She as well is absolutely beautiful. She seem to enjoy chatting with everyone. Then David Cook slowly made his way to our corner. I got the impression he wasn’t in the greatest mood. I wouldn’t go so far as to say he was rude or mean or anything like that. He just seemed very rushed and quick about things. I give him the benefit of the doubt, it was scorching hot and it was insane out there. Anyway, he finally got around and signed my hat, (they all signed in black, I had a blue pen I wanted them to use as my hat is black but.. they didn’t lol oh well) right at the front LOL. I was able to give him a letter I wrote for him. Then as fast as he came, he was gone. Jason and David Archuleta had already came up at this point but they were on the other side.

FINALLY after a bit DA came to our side and it was shear pandemonium! everyone went crazy and the screams were deafening. I have to venture a bit off topic here and say that David really and truly is one of the most humble and kindhearted people I have EVER had the pleasure of coming in contact with. He seriously exudes this genuine appreciation for all of the time and effort spent in coming to see him and support him. He’s gracious and laid back. He’s calm and has this boyish charm about him. His smile is comforting and his attitude is one of constant awe and appreciation. His humility is radiant and his overall demeanor is so inviting that I can see why so many are drawn to this young man. He is an amazing person and truthfully the only way to be able to understand what I’m saying to actually meet him. I agree with the person who brought that up. You just got to meet him, that’s the only thing that will come close to expression of what a wonderful individual he really is. He always made sure to say thank you and respond to whatever was being said (or screamed) to him. He took the time to sign autograph after autograph and he got to everyone down the line. I was told he even came out a second time for another longer period of time. I can’t help but respect him more and more as each story comes out. He really is a class act. Anyway, he signed my hat (on the side, its so small though, I can barely read it) and he took a picture of us for me lol my head is only half in there though but it’s SOMETHING haha. I wasn’t able to give him my letter I was focused what I was about to do next, (I was mad at myself for forgetting lol but then I thought maybe later I could.) I was able to get on my knees on the floor (hotttt) and shoot a video of David from there for Rickey.org. I knew he wasn’t feeling well, poor guy has been sick and I just wanted to give him something to cheer him up and let him know he’s loved. He’s done such an amazing job of keeping us informed and providing the “live blogs” so I wanted to give him a little something back. It wasn’t the greatest quality, with the screams and loudness of the situation but David gave a little shout out to him and that made me happy!

At that point I decided to leave to come home and send Rickey the video to cheer him up, I wanted to get it to him so badly before the show that I just decided to leave. I had seen who I came to see and I was fully content anyway. I later found out David came BACK out (I’m sorry I missed it) as did Chekizie and MJ. Oh well. I was about done anyway, I had no shoe on, my foot was burnt to a crisp, and I was doing my best not to pass out lol.

Fast foreword to show time,,, (spoilers in here if you don’t want to know the set list then don’t scroll down)

Now, as far as the show goes, I wasn’t expecting anything HUGE. I had heard the show the night before on Rickey’s live blog from LA so I knew what to expect but I think being there makes all the difference in the world. It was truly amazing. So much energy and the building was CRAZY!! People were loving every second and you could feel it in the air. I’ve been to many, many concerts and this is definitely one of the coolest I’ve seen.

CHIKEZIE
- I Believe to my Soul
- Caught Up
- So High

I wasn’t sure what to expect, I liked him on the show and I thought he was and IS adorable and Mr. Eze totally fit the bill. I really enjoyed his version of “Caught Up” he gave it style and his own twist. He had the crowd going. His voice is wonderful, it has an obvious soulful tone and it also has this silkiness to it. It’s very warm and comforting. I can see him doing well on the R&B circuit. He’s a ball of energy and did well on stage. He blew me away with his version of “So High” its one of my favourite songs ever and he did it justice. He has some power behind his vocals so he hit the higher notes well in my mind. Overall he was entertaining.

RAMIELE
- I Want You Back
- Love Will Lead You Back
- If I Never See Your Face Again

I’m up in the air about her. I think she’s wonderful as a person, she’s hilarious from what I saw and sweet as can be. I think her voice is unbelievable for someone so small (she is TINYYYY) I just something was lacking. I can’t pint-point it though. I have to say she did an awesome job on “I want you back” I was totally rocking out. I also really enjoyed “Love Will Lead You Back” it’s always been a favourite and it showed off her vocals quite well. She is as I mention totally beautiful I just felt a little indifferent I guess is the best way to put it. I think with time, a little more growth she has major potential.

MICHAEL
- We Will Rock You/We Are the Champions
- It’s All Wrong But It’s All Right
- Dream On

SIMPLY AMAZING. This man oozes (and that’s not a strong enough word) appeal! He commands a stage. He is one of the few of them that I believe can sing any time of song. Whether its a rock song or a ballad(y) type deal he can pull it all off. The place when CRAZY when he did “We will rock you/We are the champions” it was loud and just awesome to hear. We were rocking OUT to it! I loved every second. Now, let me say, he KNOWS what he’s doing to us when he sings “Its all wrong but its all right” WOW there’s where the charm and oozing of appeal comes in. His voice is awesome, strong and like David Cook can hit those high “glory notes” but yet keep it smooth and bluesy in the same breath. Dream On has us all singing away. He’s a wonderful performer. A must see.

KRISTY
- Squeezin’ the Love Outta You
- God Bless the USA
- Cowgirls

I wasn’t looking foreword to her set, honestly. She’s cool, just not my cup of tea. I was surprised though. She held her own. She’s got a great voice, all country though (which is not my thing) nonetheless she has great energy on stage and was using every bit of it. She danced, gave a little ‘tude and sang her heart out. “Cowgirls” was really cute, they gave us a glimpse of her personality. She took is really beautiful, makeup or no makeup. Very sweet person as well, she gave a shout out to all listening on the live blog! She’ll do well in the country set. I’m sure we’ll hear more from her.

CARLY
- Bring Me to Life
- Crazy On You
- I Drove All Night

OK so I was never really a Carly fan, but my mind has been changed forever. She is AWESOME TO THE EXTREME lol. Her set was mind blowing. I knew she had amazing vocals but seriously to hear her live is something special. I can only recommend that ya’ll go check her out. Her version of “Bring Me To Life” is brilliant. She like Michael Johns is another that I believe can do many types of singing and for BMTL it showed off her edgier alternative side and it was amazing. She hit all the high note as Amy and yet gave it a new feel. You can feel her energy and the power she puts into her singing. “Crazy on you” showed off her ballad side of things and it was humbling to sit there and hear how wonderful she really sounds. Totally beautiful as well, awesome person, hilarious personality. She is a MUST, MUST, MUST see. I know you’d love it too.

BROOKE
- Let It Be
- 1, 2, 3, 4
- Yellow

I was a little let down. I mean I go back and forth with Brooke. I think she’s got great talent, but like Ramiele I just felt something was missing. I don’t know. She did a great version of “Yellow” it was nice to see her behind the piano she plays beautifully and she’s got this “homey” kind of voice, it’s sweet and it feels familiar. I just wasn’t feeling the excitement. I think she’s cool. I don’t know.

JASON
- Somewhere Over the Rainbow
- Crazy
- Daydream

OK, I officially love Jason!! I always have but more then ever I realize how awesomeness he really is. He is, after Archie, maybe the most personable and interactive of the bunch. He obviously is loving ever minute of this whole dream and taking it all in. He has this innate way of connecting with an audience without having to do so on a one by one basis (If that makes sense), you just feel like he’s singing to you, even though your 1 of 15,000 people. He’s as adorable in person as on TV, he has this dorkyness about him and his laugh and smile is infectious. He’s got a very unique voice that like Brooke, just feels like home. It’s instantaneous comfort and one of those things that when you hear him, you just know it’s gonna be fun. “Over the Rainbow” was beautiful and “Daydream” was so much fun. “Crazy” was awesome cause he gave a whole new spin, it sounded like a completely different song to me. I loved it. He’s so much fun, I think he’s another must see. Can’t wait to hear what he comes out with for an album

SYESHA
- Umbrella
- If I Ain’t Got You
- Listen

Syesha is amazing. Her vocal range is crazy. She hit high notes like the likes of the Mariah’s of the world. She puts a lot of effort into the emotion of her singing and I really think that’s translated into her performance (which is why I think Randy always said the Broadway stuff) “Umbrella” was fun, I was sanging’ away to it. Most of the people around me were totally into it. She can work a crowd and has a good presence on stage. “If I aint got you” showed off those amazing vocals. She seems like she’s a little shy and or just coy. She’s really nice, what you saw on TV is what you got on stage. It was great.

DAVID ARCHULETA
- Angels
- Apologize
- Stand By Me
- When You Say You Love Me

THE BEST PART OF THE SHOW HANDS DOWN! I kept saying I would cry once I saw him. Thankfully I was able to keep composed, my random seat friend to the side of me ERIK (hey where ever you are, you were an AWESOME random concert person sitting next to me. I hope one day I can find you and see what happened after I took you guys to the buses LOL if your out there reading this say hiii to me, and thanks for the half of the streamer! sharing IS caring tee hee) was freaking out with me! It was amazing to see him coming out of the floor, piano and all. I just want to cry thinking of it now. It was so amazing, words cannot begin to express. David, is one of those people, who as a tiny part of my life, will always be someone I have MAJOR love for. I don’t even know what to say or how to begin. “Angels” was amazing of course, I sang word for word (don’t know if ya’ll on the live blog heard it, if so, I’m sorry for my funky sounding self lol) “Apologize” was the same, I loved his version of it. It was nice to hear him put his own spin on a great song. “Stand By Me” was PERFECT. His voice is of course amazing, and pure. He has this raspyness that isn’t overwhelming but adds like substance to his music, it gives it a flavour. I loved him adding more to the “beautiful girls” lol and having us sing with him on it. That was fun! “When you say you loved me” was brilliant. It perfectly showed off his range and its another song (like don’t let the sun go down on me) that allowed him to express feelings during song. He got into it and gave it his all. It was perfect, perfect, perfect. This kid is something else. I will not forget his set, never, his voice just resonates. I cant - I just cant put it all down how I feel about his ability. He’s AMAZING. Simply amazing.

DAVID COOK
- Hello
- Time of my Life
- I Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing
- My Hero
- Billie Jean

I knew what I was getting with David Cook and he lived up to ever minute of it. Hello was haunting and ever so mysterious to me. There is something about the way he sings this song that gives it this awe of suspense. It was wonderful. David has a rich “rock” voice, yet he can pull off those high “glory notes” there is this rugged nature to the way he sings and I think it was present in “Hello” as well as in “My Hero” which as always is a beautiful “tribute” to his brother. Everyone was rocking out to “Don’t want to miss a thing” myself included I was singing away lol. Last but not least “Billie Jean” the song I am most partial to. I loved the whole effect of it all. There he was in all his glory on a darkened stage with red and orangey type lighting behind him, I almost felt like I was in a back alley with a really awesome rock star singing about a kid not being his LOL. It was classic rock star moment and he lives up to it. TOTALLY.

So, that was the show. It was wonderful so much more then I expected. I got what I paid for and so much more. It was an experience of a lifetime and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

Fast foreword to waiting for the buses to leave. So a group was already in place by the time I got out of the arena. I was able to manage my way to the front though, albeit it was a good thing in the end. It didn’t FEEL very good as people were again pushing and all of us were plastered together on a VERY warm night. Not my idea of fun, nonetheless we eventually got what we waited for. I thought they were NEVER going to come out. I’m sure those who heard the live blog heard the fact that security was being mad shady and pushing the idols in the other direction away from our side of things. It really wasn’t fair as they could have very well went around in a circle and completed EVERYTHING they did just as they did walking down the other side. Thankfully Kristy Lee defied security and came in our direction. I wasn’t too concerned with getting photos (although now I wonder if I should lol) I want to call Rickey and keep the live bloggers updated, after all it was “my job” so Kristy gave a what’s up to all out in blogger land and I thought that was cool. David Cook and Michael Johns along with Carly and Syehsa came out but were shuffled off to the other side (SO WRONG) we did our best MJ chant but to no avail he did turn to us and wave but didn’t come over. Same with David Cook. He saw us, waved but continued down the path he was on. Then came out David Archuleta, I had this horrible sinking feeling he wasn’t going to come our way, and the security tried to usher him to the other side but ARCHIE took a stand and came our way instead (go DA not listening to security lol) it was AWESOME. He was so kind and I was thinking that I should have asked him for another better photo with me, but I wanted to call Rickey so I dialed right away (I hope those who listened heard him say HEYY) he finally got close enough so I could at least get him to say hello to everyone and he tried but the guard pushed the phone away and said no phone calls” I tried to repeat my purpose for the phone and he heard me and said “Oh HEYY” again then he heard me tell them (those listening) that I couldn’t get him on the phone and then he said “IM SORRY, but HEEEYY” so just remember guys he wanted to talk to ya’ll! On a side note I was able to get my letter to him, so if anything that made me happy lol! I just hope he got to read it. After that Jason came by and I got him to say a little hello as well, I’m sure that was heard as he actually took my phone out of my hand LOL (GO JASON) then Syesha came running by really quickly as did Brooke and that was that!! I’m sorry to all who wanted the Puppy Johns, I tried my bestest! but I heard it has been accomplished so YAY for that!

End of my amazing night. I still can’t believe it all happened. It was crazy and so much fun. I wish I could relive it all again. Sadly, I have nothing to look foreword to now, but on the upsides albums should come out soon and for that I’m totally excited. It was a fun ride. I still cant even begin to understand everything. Maybe one day I will but until then I hope EVERYONE has the same chance and opportunity don’t give up guys! It can and does happen. It does!
That’s it…

KAYNE KICKS…

Jun

….. major you know what!! That was an AMAZING show. Aside from all the drama, annoying friends (thank goodness I went by myself) and drunk people it was the coolest thing Ive seen in a while. I had an awesome experience, that I will have to share, but it’s late almost 3am and I got to get up soon.

If you haven’t seen him and you get a chance to, please do. It really is an “experience.” I will blog all about it later today/tomorrow. It was cool! To bad I couldn’t take pictures.. boo.

IM OFFICIALLY OBSESSED

May

OK, I feel totally wrong but I’m down for the count. I love this kid. I feel myself slowly headed back to the days of teenage squeals and fits of giggles for the simple cuteness and overall gooeyness of the voice, the smile and oh my gosh how can I forget; the hair!! rocking the hair… OK, so what that he is like like 10! (more like 17 lol) I mean, it’s OK.. so I have a few years on the kid.. did I mention the hair?? rockin.. totally rockin.. I feel like I should be breaking out the scotch tape and pulling off those linkin park posters to make room for my newest love.. Mr. Archuleta! No doubt about it! The tour cant possibly start any sooner..
….. and now, sadly, I must come back to reality… le sigh, le sigh!

Well, *evil grin* there is always David Cook… *swoons* muahahaha

LIFE AND AMERICAN IDOL

04
Mar

I’m very sorry. I have been a really bad webby. I just haven’t had much to blog about or say, to be honest. Ive just been busy with my ministry work and sleeping lol. I’m out pretty much all day then am so tired I just go to bed. Boring I know, but that’s about it.

Has anyone been watching American Idol? I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE David Archuleta! I’m obsessed with the kid lol he’s awesome. I have to say, I was never big on Idol, I always thought it sucked, but because of him Ive kept watching and I hope, truly hope some stupidity doesn’t stand in the way of giving him the title of AI, which he deserves. What do ya’ll think? Check him on Youtube.com if you haven’t yet seen him. He really is AMAZING, (check out his version of IMAGINE, done last week 2/26/08). David Cook did an awesome job with “HELLO”, that was a really great version of an already cool song. So, all in all tonight was pretty cool!

It’s been so beautiful here that I was able to get this outdoor mall the other day. It was so nice, quite beautiful. I got to hear some live music as well. It was wonderful. Speaking of, do any of you play an instrument? if so what kind? You all have heard me talk about my love for Guitar, I’m sure, hopefully one day I can learn but I must say it’s a lot harder then it seems.

So, that was a boring post, I know. I’m sorry. I just have nothing to share lol. Maybe I’ll be able to think of something of more substance soon. Thanks for visiting nontheless

MUSIC MAKES THE PEOPLE…

20
Feb

GET HAPPY.. YEAH YEAH!!

OK, I’m totally excited because my mom and I settled plans to go to Las Vegas AHHHHHHHHHHH!!! We are going to go see CHER. My mom LOVES her so we heard that she is doing her show in LV and now we are going. I can’t begin to express my happiness. I can’t wait to get out of here, even if it is only for 2 days it’s going to be so freaking cool. I have wanted an excuse to go to Vegas (I don’t gamble though lol I just like LV) and to get out of California for a little while and now I got it. I’m so, so, so, so HAPPY.

OK, so if that isn’t the bestest thing here comes the coolest part. I am going to another concert, but I can’t decide on which, so I WANT input from ya’ll. I have to decide by 10 am today so if you could go see someone who would it be: MICHAEL BUBLE‘ or KAYNE WEST? OK, now I LOVE, LOVE them both! but sadly, I can’t afford to go to both, unless some crazy miracle happens (you might see some paid posts from me so I can somehow end up at both LOL) anyway, I’ve loved Michael since I don’t know when. I mean not only is he drool-worthy but who doesn’t love all those wonderful standards? “Save the last dance for me”? Wooh, to see that man in person might just kill me. Now, Kayne, OMMM I know I would party down and have a BLAST seeing him! can we say

“NOW I AINT SAYING SHE A GOLDIGGER!! BUT SHE AINT MESSING WITH NO BROKE, BROKE BROKE, GET DOWN GIRL GO ‘HEAD GET DOWN”

*screams* I haven’t been this excited in a while. I am genuinely bouncing off the walls. I would totally rock out with him. Oooh, I can’t forget to mention an added bonus to THAT concert is RIHANNA N.E.R.D AND LUPE FIASCO *squeels*

“UNDER MY UMBRELLA ELLLA!! ELLLA!! EH, EH, EH!!”

OK, so overall, I lean towards Kayne, he’s cheaper and you get more for what you pay LOL. I mean he’s only 40$ to see and Michael is close to 60$. I’m going alone to both (truly I’d rather go alone anyway, I don’t have to worry about anyone else and I can usually relax better LOL) so I only have to pay either 40$ or 60$ but I don’t know which to do. (If I can’t do both hehe, I’m still gonna try) So what do you think?

I’m so sad cause it’s such an amazing time for music right now, and I can’t afford to do it all. OH! wait! one more concert I’m going to, even if I have to sell my right eye, is ALICIA KEYS. I found out she’s coming here ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh I wan’t to cry! So, if all goes well, in a span of 2 months I’ll be seeing Kayne West, Alicia Keys, Cher and maybe Michael Buble - can I just die now?

IM LAZY

30
Dec

Ive been so bad I know. I just have had little to no desire to be online let alone blog. I think I’m coming off the whole month of Nov blogging deal lol I might be drained of any good thought or idea when it comes to blogging. I really would like to blog about the whole top 100 songs of the 90’s that VH1 did but I’m too lazy right now, maybe soon enough.

I found it interesting I got no comments on the last blog lol hope I didnt freak anyone out, I just was expressing my thoughts and feelings. I can be pretty open sometimes, maybe extreme in my way of expression so of course what i say is genuine but of course I would hope people are not fearful to say something because of it as well. Anyway…

I’m going to be in a play this weekend. I’m a little nervous but I’m excited. I’ll have to tell ya’ll about it.

I broke out my Eminem cd’s last night and I realized something. I really miss him. There are very few artists that actually pull me away from singing their songs to actually make me stop and think. He is one of those that as much as I can “rap” along with his songs I also always end up forgetting about the rapping and focus on what exactly is being said. Now, I know a lot of people are of the mindset that he wasn’t lyrically profound, in the sense that he isn’t using words or even phrases that are “mind-blowing” and in all honesty they are probably right but there is something about the way that he expressed himself and in the passion that he had in executing those words that just makes me stop and actually listen. I really believe there is a deep message in all the “foolishness” of his music. I really think he tried to intertwine humour with the reality to make it easier to digest or at the least easier to understand or maybe he did that to actually get people to LISTEN. Radio friendly is how I see it, maybe so that it will be exposed to more, which in turn means more hear the actual message. I really believe he deserves a lot more credit then he was given. There is so much more depth to the things he said then maybe came across. I know it reaches me and I know I can sympathize, but then again I’m not a normal person lol.
